Anti-wrinkle injections
Anti-wrinkle injections are made from a naturally occurring toxin that blocks signals from nerves to muscles, which means they can no longer contract. Reducing the movement of the muscles reduces the appearance of lines and wrinkles. It might not make them disappear completely and the results are temporary, usually lasting 3 to 4 months. It generally takes 2 to 3 days to see the full effect of the injections.
Is it painful?
The procedure takes only a few minutes and most people do not find it too painful because the toxin is injected with a very fine needle.
Is it safe?
The toxin used is a prescription only medicine so you must have a consultation with our doctor to make sure it is safe for you to have the injections. It is not safe for people who are pregnant or breastfeeding, people with some medical conditions, or people who take certain medicines. It is generally not recommended for people aged under 25 or over 65.
Are there side effects?
Bruising, swelling, and redness can last for a few days after the injections. Like all medicines, there are side effects. These are not very common but can be serious. Our doctor will explain all of the risks and side effects before you have the treatment.

Dermal Fillers
Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance found in healthy skin that gives it volume and helps with hydration. Our skin loses the ability to store water as we get older. Dermal fillers made from Hyaluronic Acid can correct or enhance facial contours; define, correct, or enhance lips; soften and correct wrinkles or folds; correct hollows under the eyes; or improve tone, texture, and hydration of the skin.
Is it painful?
Dermal fillers often contain some local aneathetic to make the injections less painful. Sometimes local anaesthetic can be applied to the skin before hand.
Is it safe?
There are over 160 types of Hyaluronic Acid filler and each one is designed to give specific results. They are a safe treatment when given by a fully trained medical professional. You will have a consultation with our doctor to make sure it is safe for you to have the injections. They are not safe for people with some medical conditions or people who take certain medicines.
