Telemedicine is the name for treating patients remotely; either by telephone or online services like video calls. The first documented medical telephone consultation was actually in 1879!
Remote consultations are suitable for:
- Straightforward requests and common medical conditions
- Follow-up consultations
- People who don’t need to be examined
WHY NORTHWAY CLINIC?
- Rapid access to private GPs. Skip long NHS waiting lists and be seen in hours, not days. Usually, we can offer the same and next day private GP appointments.
- We are a modern multidisciplinary clinic based in London, so if required you can see a private GP or other specialists face-to-face without any delays.
- A team of experts. Northway Clinic is fortunate enough to have a group of highly experienced GPs, who are able to provide care to the whole family.
- Speedy onward referrals if you need to have any diagnostic tests.
Our GPs can provide video and phone consultations 6 days a week. If appropriate, they can issue prescriptions, referrals, sick notes, and give advice.
How does it work?
- Book your video consultation online or over the phone
- Receive a confirmation email with the video link and a questionnaire link
- Complete the pre-consultation questionnaire
- Make sure you have photo ID ready to show the doctor
- Click the link to start the consultation at the time of your appointment
If the GP needs to examine you in person, we can book you a 15 minute face-to-face appointment at our clinic in Canning Town, London.
